In fact, the results of the investigation are quite conclusive, since during the period of follow-up (1976 to 2003) there were 10,158 deaths among non-runners and only 122 among runners.
The study, which began in 1976, was carried out on a total of 20,000 people – men and women – aged between 20 and 93 years. The study shows that the risk of death was reduced by 44% in the corridors.
Schnohr also points out that jogging routinely improves oxygen uptake, lowers blood pressure, improves heart function, bone density, immune function, prevents obesity, improves psychological function, increases insulin sensitivity, Allows to control cholesterol levels, increases fibrinolytic activity and decreases platelet aggregation.
